Bupa launches talent show for Older People's Day

Older People's Day in the UK takes place on October 1st this year and to mark the occasion health insurance provider Bupa is launching its own talent show.

Bupa's Got Talent, as it has been dubbed, is to be held between September 27th and October 2nd at three care homes across the country - Ridgeway Lodge Residential in Dunstable, Capwell Grange in Addington Way and St Mary's Nursing Centre on Dunstable Road, both in Luton, Luton Today reports.

The elderly and the wider community are being encouraged to join in the festivities and community affairs consultant Siobhan Drane remarked: "Age is no barrier when it comes to having star quality and we want to hear from anyone who wants to take centre stage and grab their share of the limelight."

Residents of Bupa care homes may also be able to enjoy more British wildlife in the future as, according to the Third Sector, the company is working to encourage a greater variety of creatures in its gardens.
