Private medical insurance comparison news: Bay Trust Radio to undergo refurb
People seeking private medical insurance comparison may find news that Bay Trust Radio - which provides coverage for patients, visitors and staff in the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust (UHMBT) - is being refurbished of interest.
The station, based at Westmorland General Hospital, has raised £70,000 to pay for the renovations, which will see new technology, software and facilities installed, while funds have also been used to make the premises more accessible by wheelchair.
Manager John Williamson noted that the project has taken six years to come to fruition, with a "tremendous" amount of effort on the part of the volunteers involved.
Thanking those who offered their support, he remarked: "Being able to listen to the radio helps to make a patient's stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible."
The UHMBT has also just been approved to join the Cleaning Operators' Proficiency Certificate scheme, furthering its commitment to cleaner wards.
